The Songshan line’s power supply system contains: DC traction power simulation, AC power
transfer and supply study, AC analysis and verification of the response measure of the cases in
which TAIPOWER cannot supply power to Songshan line BSS, 161kV BSS, 22kV SSS, and
TSS power supply, a power remote control system (SCADA), a stray current monitoring system,
22kV cable DTS, a DC cable high impedance detecting system and system integrated testing. The
innovative practices in the design of the power supply system include: (1) multiple MRT line power
supply backup plans (2) 161/ 22kV GIT applied in BSS, (3) an optical fiber temperature detecting
system applied for 22kV cables in tunnels, (4) a high impedance detecting system applied on DC
cables.
This article aims to introduce these important items of design and construction, and share the
experience of the innovative design and construction of Songshan line’s power supply system.
