                                              ABSTRACT

According to the regulations issued by the Ministry of Transportation on July 23,
2010 (subsequently amended on July 3, 2020) in the "Final Inspection of Revenue
Service for Mass Rapid Transit Systems Regulation" prior to the preliminary
inspection and testing of revenue service for mass rapid transit system, an "
Independent Verification & Validation Report for Overall Systems " should be
submitted to ensure the proposed operating sections are safe for revenue service.
After the published regulation, the Independent Verification and Validation has
been implemented and promoted by both central and local governments.
TÜV Rheinland not only shares Independent of Verification & Validation
experiences according to the projects of DORTS of Taipei City and New Taipei
City, KMRT, Taiwan Railways Administration and Railway Bureau, but also
provides relevant advisement for the future development of Independent of
            Verification & Validation in Taiwan.
