ABSTRACT

The “Rules of MRT Final Inspection & Testing for Revenue Service” are the base
of the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of each domestic metro
system. Among them, the “IV&V criteria” that should be proposed in the
verification and validation report is also the key factor for the effective and
efficient IV&V progress. This article explains the “risk-based” evaluation criteria
constructed by Ricardo Rail for IV&V evaluation work, which combines domestic
and foreign project experience and characteristics, and particularly emphasizes the
continuity of different stages in the entire life cycle, and proposes the key risks of
unmanned rapid transit vehicles, which can be used as a reference for future metro
and other rail-related projects to plan IV&V work scope and criteria.
