ABSTRACT This paper introduces the improving research by Materials Testing
Sub-Division of DORTS(Department of Rapid Transit Systems) in construction
material quality control (QC) by long-term data analysis. The content includes the
self-developing lab automation system which continually collects and analysis the
accumulating testing data, and performs the quality management and maximizes
the testing benefit. Moreover, by combination of statistical theories including ACI
214R-11 and the qualifying evaluation system of reinforcement and concrete,
which promotes the suppliers to establish the statistic and managing system and to
find out blind spot and enhance QC level, therefor, the construction progress delay
and quality variation caused by defective materials can be prevented. The above
many years implementing measures have brought great achievement, the benefit,
conclusion and suggestion were provided for further researches.

INDEX TERMS statistical analysis, reinforcement, concrete, quality control.
