                                                       Abstract

Although the construction of Taipei MRT has won enormous positive reputation, in the future,
the construction management implemented in Taipei MRT shall be even more visionary and
competitive. Being members of DORTS, how to further enhance the quality of Taipei MRT
construction is an essential mission. Nowadays advanced countries take building MRT system in
the metropolitan area as an important public policy of all . That`s why the countries hosted the
Olympic Games consider building a complete MRT network as the symbol of modernization and
progress. However, as MRT is no more a rare construction around the world, which city has the
most safe and convenient MRT construction is hard to tell. What kinds of technique shall be applied
to the MRT construction? What are the most important issues in the MRT construction? Shinkansen
Lines in Japan wins its reputation not only because of its speedy service and modern design but
also because of its outstanding performance factors of system safety and stability. Therefore, to
realize the performance other MRT systems not able to accomplish is the meaning of skill of arts.
The authors use systemwide point of view to look back the construction management applied in
Taipei MRT and discuss the e-management applied in future construction, and hope the results
could be the reference for developing in future MRT construction management.
