台灣地區從 1980 年代起，安全監測技術開始引用於大地工程案例中，尤其發展到台北市
捷運路網的施工中監測，或是民間許多深開挖工程使用的監測儀器，皆可做為掌控施工中安

全的一種機制。藉由監測儀器的量測，可以提高施工期間的安全與節省施工成本。
後工業化的社會裡，當人力成本越來越高時，傳統大地工程監測的角色受到了衝擊，二
十世紀後期，資訊科技領域的技術突飛猛進，以及網際網路技術的普及。因此自動化的即時
監控系統(Real-Time System)應運而生；發展初期除了在技術上、成本上必須突破以外，對於
是否能完全取代傳統上大地安全監測的功能，尚須觀察。本文的首先介紹傳統人工量測的安
全監測系統，其後介紹目前最近發展、並且實際運用於大地工程界的自動化安全監測系統與
應用模組，並輔以案例說明，以供工程界參考。

Introduction of Automated Monitoring

System for Geotechnical Engineering

Abstract

The monitoring technique was first implemented in geotechnical engineering practice in
Taiwan in early 1980s. Its application then quickly evolved into various types of projects, and it has
been a very useful means of controlling safety at the construction stage for the Taipei Rapid Transit
Systems (TRTS) network and other deep excavation projects in the private sector. Feedback from
the monitoring system and the industry has enhanced construction safety levels and reduced
construction costs.
In modern industrialized society, the role of traditional geotechnical engineering monitoring
was greatly impacted by the ever-increasing cost of manpower. However, very rapid progress of
information technology and fast popularization of Internet usage has been seen in the later period of
the 20th century. These technology developments helped in the creation of automated real-time
monitoring systems. Currently, real-time systems are still in the early stage of development. The
industry is not only waiting to see breakthroughs in technical maturity and cost reduction for
real-time systems, but is also observing its capability for full replacement of tradition geotechnical
monitoring applications. The objectives of this paper are to introduce the latest developments of
automated monitoring system modules and to summarize existing applications in geotechnical
engineering.
