                                              ABSTRACT

Due to the large base area required and the difficulty in acquiring land, and in order
to maintain the original recreational function of Jihsien Park, the North Depot of
North Section Circile Line was designed underground. However, the space
characteristics of the underground depot needs the huge volume, the elevated space
required for maintenance, and the continuous operation area to meet the maintain
requirements of EMU and System Wide E&M. Therefore, the building space
configuration and its fire-fighting equipment have its own special considerations.
In addition to cooperating with the functions of the depot, in the event of a fire, the
spreading of the fire should be avoided, and the fire should be extinguished so that
the personnel can escape safely. This paper firstly studies and analyzes the
classification of uses in laws and regulations based on the function of buildings,
collects existing relevant literature and domestic cases to develop fire prevention
and fire safety equipment settings, and organize domestic and foreign regulations
such as the current National Fire Protection Association NFPA-130, Building
Technical Regulations and Standard for Installation of Fire Safety Equipments
Based on Use and Occupancy of premises. In order to follow the fire safety
equipment regulations for the underground depot building, and it is hoped that this
essag can be as a reference for future project design of domestic underground
            depot.
