Abstract

The entire Taipei MRT Circular line consists of the Circular line Phase I, plus the north
and south sections of the line (regarded as separate projects from Circular line Phase I), and the
North-South line. So far, Circular line Phase I has received approval from the Executive Yuan
and the other routes are still been planned and have not been approved yet.

This article gives a brief and general introduction of the entire Circular line project and a
review of the planning process of Circular line Phase I.
