The Core Technology of Certification Consultant Project for the Xinzhuang &
Luzhou Lines

Abstract
Taipei MRT is the forerunner of track technology in domestic track engineering. Since
1984, it has created many new technologies and successful records in the world for over 25
years. Early in the planning stage, due to restricted international contact, few reference sources
were available, leading to the trackwork contractors being unable to follow the technology
applied in the other countries. Nevertheless, with a 25-year accumulation of study and
experience, Taipei MRT, by incorporating the suggestions of industry and consultants, has
designed, implemented, and developed its own unique trackwork technology.
This paper aims to discuss the trackwork carried out on the Xinzhuang & Luzhou lines,
and the core technology of the Certification Consultant. Meanwhile, it also deals with the
role of trackwork consultant in the early stage and the evolution of supervisor consultant on
the implementation of the Xinzhuang & Luzhou lines, providing an explanation of advanced
trackwork technology to serve for reference in future local trackwork.
