Abstract

The public artwork installation plan for Luzhou Station aims to combine construction and
art so as to create an excellent public urban space, and enhance the regional role of transportation
development. The plan will establish a feature of local identity and a landmark, and increase the

quality of surrounding living environment due to MRT development.
In order to closely combine the architectural design with artwork for the station space that
possesses its own characteristics, the artwork must give visitors an artistic sensation and surprise
them. The public artwork design should grasp the background and concepts of the station theme

and possess the following characteristics: 1. Respond to the creation of self-identity of unique
characteristics of the Luzhou MRT line. 2. Be an outstanding combination of space and art. 3.
Display the unique characteristics of the Luzhou line.
