Abstract

In the elevated bridge construction of Subcontract CB424 of NEI-HU Line project, the
existing di-plopore drainage slab culvert and the tube underneath KangNing road should be moved
to both sides of the road before constructing the viaduct foundation of bridge. When moving the
existing underground facility, DORTS experienced an extremely difficult construction period due

to rapid population growth, heavy traffic flow, narrow roads, and complicated underground utility
ducts in Neihu. In addition, the limited construction period from December 1 to April 30 each year
and no construction during flood season also added to the difficulty of the project.
